The first two Jersey Chamber networking breakfasts have been and gone, and it’s clear from the response so far that the idea is a big hit with Jersey business owners, with both events selling out in a couple of days.
The March meeting was held at The Niche, in Bond Street. Recently refurbished, The Niche was perfectly suited for the event with its 35 attendees and the first presentation, by Mike Freer of BWCI, and all about pensions investments, was perfectly pitched for the occasion, setting us a high standard for meeting number two.
Meeting number two was held at the Radisson hotel, and the presentation this time was by Cinnamon Edge’s own Jacqui Carrel. This time it was all about getting the right people to your website. Again, it was very well received.
The idea of the meetings, and the short presentations, is to help smaller businesses (which easily ounumber bigger ones in the Chamber membership), so the talks are helpful and informative, while the event itself is friendly and informal.
So far, the response has been very positive indeed and the next meeting on May 22 will undoubtedly sell out as well. But you might still be able to book (it’s open to non-members too) if you hurry now to the Jersey Chamber website. This month’s presentation will be by Carl Parslow – Advocate & Notary Public? – on “Law and Compliance for SME’s”.
The venue this month is sponsored by the Chamber. If you or your company would like an opportunity to speak or sponsor a breakfast meeting, contact the Chamber directly on 01534 724536.
And maybe we’ll see you at the next one.
