We’ve been very happy to support St Nicholas Hospice Care for the last few years, mainly through the Towergate Accumulator Challenge. This year, though, another opportunity arose, with the latest edition of Girls Night Out – a late night sponsored walk (ladies only) around Bury St Edmunds.
Although I (Roy) wasn’t eligible for the walk itself I was able to help with the marshalling on the night and a splendid time was had by all, to judge by the faces on the ladies as we watched them pass. (There are worse jobs!)
Even better, it looks like the walk will have raised a record-breaking £118,000!
Of course, a lot of people put in a lot of hard work, even before the ladies took to the streets last Saturday evening, but everyone who took part can be very proud to have been a part of such a fantastic event.
And £118,000 for the Hospice is not bad for a night’s work!
